When I acquired this product it was on the track record of Garmin as a good quality merchandise as well as recommendations on the web. I have to say that for just beneath 9 months its labored faultlessly. The footpod connected instantly and it presented really accurate rate, distance and heart fee readings…then it all went down hill.The unit started out to get perplexed on my tempo and would only say I was managing 2:58 miles (I desire!!!). It would regulary fail to connect to the footpod creating it ineffective. Giving it the benefit of the question I upgraded the software program and changed the batteries but to no avail, the difficulty lingered. I contacted Garmin on a few events for aid but by no means read a factor back…very inadequate customer support. As I had introduced it on holiday I could not return it. On leading of that the display screen would begin to mist up everytime I ran.All round I would not advocate this device to any individual. I am very let down in Garmin for this solution and their comprehensive deficiency of buyer services and shall be heading to the competitiveness as an alternative.

Style Faults

Experienced my FR60 for 11 months, also have a 310XT so the FR60 does not get abnormal use. Last week the FR60 strap snapped on the thin aspect of the buckle gap. As the strap is integral it is non-replaceable. The good news is I’m in the 12 months guarantee so Garmin are heading to replace the unit for free of charge. On inspection of the strap it is perrished around 50% of the holes.An additional problem I’ve experienced because working day 1 was the truth that when swimming the “spare” finish of the strap does not keep in the strap loop and finishes up flapping around annoyingly. I have solved this by making use of a tight elastic band to hold the end in area, but this is really naff.In summary I would not even take into account buying this watch yet again. But the 310XT is superb and I’ve also just acquired a Forerunner ten which seems exceptional.

Only operates for a 12 months or so

After the battery dies, you alter it. It might work for a handful of months then will go flat and die.I checked and everyone else had the very same issue on the message boards. Garmin explained £30 to exchange.
