Also appropriate for the Foretrex 101

This cable also functions with the Garmin Foretrex one zero one.I observed from the Garmin internet site that their part amount for the Foretrex a hundred and one Laptop cable is the same as this Amazon merchandise model quantity: 010-10484-00.http://store.garmin.com/add-ons_for_item.jsp?sku=010-00364-00I took a chance and ordered one for my Foretrex a hundred and one and even with the “201 only” title for this item it functions!Unfortunately, Garmin do not make a USB cable, but this does the work and permits you to down load firmware updates and use map software and totally free GPS software program such as EasyGPS.

Operates but its a disgrace its not USB

This little bit of package works but truly annoyingly you have to also get a serial to USB adapter (which almost certainly charges far more) if you never have a serial port on your computer. The actual cable is strong and I’ve never experienced a problem with over 3 several years of weighty use. You can use it the two techniques as it were. It gives and takes GPS data. For closing clarification it operates with a hundred and one and 201 in equally Foretrex and Forerunner flavours. Nevertheless a dumb description by Amazon.

It performs on the Foretrex one hundred and one, though

It may not perform on other devices, but I have a cable seemingly similar to the 1 in the image which functions good on the Foretrex one zero one. As significantly as I know the one zero one and the 201 have precisely the identical jack socket.
